Consulting Services
The team at Network Geographics has many decades of experience
developing large, secure and reliable systems. Our expertise could help
your organization deal with research, design, and development in a
number of areas.
See the Consulting Datasheet for a summary of our offerings.
In all areas, we can review your existing implementations to
help you understand your current stance. We can help you determine
whether your current implementation really implements what your
security policy says that it should. We can help you design, prototype,
or develop your next generation system.
Migration Services
Network Geographics is now offering consulting services to translate
firewall configurations from one vendor platform to another vendor
platform.
These services are available because Network Geographics'
configuration analysis technology can also be used to support automated
translation of firewall configurations. The use of automation means
that the conversion is faster and more accurate compared to conversions
done by hand without tools. Additional accuracy and confidence is
available through the use of Network Geographics products to perform
cross-platform comparisons to verify that the functionality has been
preserved.
Our technological advantage means that not only are our results fast
and accurate, we can also offer very competitive rates. Contact us for
further details or a quote.
Software Forensics
We have leveraged our broad knowledge of architecture, system software,
and security to find evidence about how systems are compromised. This
involves analyzing logs, intermediate files, and machine code. Our
security background means our analysis and reports are well reasoned
and supported by evidence that is difficult to deny.
Traffic Engineering
Our team has experience with the netfilter and iproute2 subsystems for
controlling network traffic on Linux platforms. We have developed tools
to generate and manage iptables and traffic control configurations. We
have also developed kernel patches to augment iptables functionality.

Network Security
We
have developed and managed firewalls and IPSec gateways since near the
time that both technologies appeared. We are experienced with the
standard elements of network security including firewalls, VPNs,
wireless security and intrusion detection.
Operating System Security
We have experience working with a variety of operating systems ranging
from Linux and Windows XP/Vista to runtime OS's on embedded platforms.
We have experience with trusted operating systems most recently with
the mandatory access controls (MAC) offered with Security Enhanced
Linux (SELinux).
Security Software
Our language breadth is far ranging from Lisp, Scheme, and Forth to
Java, C/C++, and Perl. Our recurring design and language specialization
is in the area of meta-object programming currently using templates in
C++.
