Symbol Viewer

Symbol Viewer is a docking window in Visualizer that displays the symbols defined in a configuration.

The left column lists all of the defined symbols. The right column contains the definition of the symbol. If a symbol is defined in terms of another symbol, that symbol and its definition are included as children of the first symbol. This puts the entire definition of each symbol in a single location for viewing.

In this case, symbol "ng1" is defined in terms of "ng2" which in turn uses "whoville" as part of its definition. The symbol "ng1" has been selected to show its direct definition and the nested entries for "ng2" and "whoville" expanded. An unexpanded entry for "ng2" at the top level can be seen directly below.

The symbol viewer can be shown and hidden using Control-1 (Symbol Viewer for the first configuration) or Control-2 (for the second configuration) in the Visualizer, for the first and second configurations respectively. Symbol Viewer can be accessed from "View" item in the Config Inspector context menu. Selecting the "View" option will cause the corresponding Symbol Viewer to be displayed if it is not already and the selected symbol highlighted.
