InfoSecter Visualizer

Visualizer is a graphical application in the InfoSecter product that is used to visualize the results of running Analyzer. It diplays the slices generated by Analyzer along with the original configuration(s) used. Visualizer also supports sorting and filtering the slices to rapidly locate the interesting slices and from there the original configuration source lines of interest. Analyzer can be run directly from Visualizer and for normal interactive use Visualizer will be the primary interface to InfoSecter.

There are five main areas in the Visualizer display

When two configurations are compared, there are two Config Inspectors and two Symbol Viewers, one pair for each configuration.

The Config Inspector and Symbol Viewer are dockable widgets. Such widgets can be undocked and moved
separately on the screen. The docking and undocking is performed by using your mouse to select and move the subwindow. Alternatively each dockable subwindow has a triangular icon in the upper right corner will undock and redock the window.

Not all areas will appear in all cases. Areas that are not useful for a particular result file are hidden.

Visualizer also has the Analysis Dialog which is a very complex widget in its own right and is used to configure a run of Analyzer.

Operations

The primary operations of Visualizer are in the File menu. These are

OperationUse
New AnalysisOpen the Analysis Dialog to run Analyzer and view the result.
View AnalysisView an already performed analysis by opening a file containing the results.
Save Results AsSave the current results in to a file for later viewing or use by another applicaiton.
QuitExit Visualizer

The View menu has options for viewing or not viewing the Config Inspectors and Symbols Viewers. Each can be shown or hidden independently, although showing the second pair if only one configuration is in the analysis results isn't very useful. The common use of this menu is to show one of the options after it has been closed (on purpose or accidently).

The Help menu has three operations.
